What is lost funds?

how does money become unclaimed?

Funds are deemed unclaimed after a period of 7 years or more without any activity. For instance, if there’s been no deposit or withdrawal from a bank account for seven years or longer. It’s important to note that the payment of fees or the receipt of interest does not count as activity.

How the Claim Process Works

STEP 1

We need to verify your identity. We require at least 100 point of ID to verify a claim to lost monies owed to you. We need you to authorise us to get started via the Authority to release form.

STEP 2

We will liaise with different holding authorities to ensure the full release of all monies that belong to you and are outstanding. This process may require further information from you, if and when requested by the holding authorities for release of funds.

STEP 3

The holding authorities verify all the claim documentation and revert back to us if any correction or additional requirements are to be meet, once they release the funds we forward the refunded monies to your account minus our finder fees.

If You Choose not to claim these lost Monies?

If you wish not to claim these money; the funds will stay with; in most cases a non-interest bearing account and remain unclaimed.

Depending on which authority holds the funds, after certain period the money is absorbed by the Government Revenue offices. In other words it is GONE FOREVER!!!.

  1. Eon Refunds Pty Ltd cannot disclose the source of your funds unless we have your signed authority.
  2. Eon Refunds Pty Ltd fee is payable of all monies recovered, upon recovery of funds.
  3. The processing fees are to be paid from the clients unclaimed money claim. The client understands they will receive the balance deposited electronically to their nominated bank account. The client accepts they are responsible for providing correct information and that incorrect information may cause delays in receiving their unclaimed money.
  4. Once Authority to Release is signed the claimant can not withdraw from our services to process the claim. Should the claimant withdraw from supplying relevant documents requested (within the client ability) to complete the claim, you will still be liable to pay the processing fee. Upon refusal to supply extra documents Eon Refunds Pty Ltd will give 7 days notice to the client, clients file will be closed and payment of our fee will be required.
  5. Should suit be commenced or an attorney employed to enforce payment of the processing fee pursuant of this agreement, the claimant agrees to pay such additional sum as the court may adjudge reasonable as attorney’s fees in said suit.
  6. Eon Refunds Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility for the accuracy, currency or completeness of any information provided via any correspondence and or communications. The accuracy or reliability of information provided is not guaranteed or warranted in any way and Eon Refunds Pty Ltd, its agencies, representatives, subsidiaries and affiliates disclaim liability of any kind whatsoever, including & without limitation, liability for accuracy, quality, performance, or reliability for a particular purpose arising out of the information provided.
  7. These Terms & Conditions can be varied at any time by Eon Refunds Pty Ltd upon the giving of 7 days notice in writing to the Client detailing such changes.
  8. Acceptance of our service is automatic acceptance of all Eon Refunds Pty Ltd terms & conditions.

What is Lost Money?
